Dear Friends,

We pray you are safe and well.

Last Night for Spirit of Life's traditional Alternative New Year's Service we reflected on our lives in the past year inspired by readings from Dorothy Day, John Lewis, Ilia Delio and Howard Thurman. Those present asked us to send out the readings and our questions for reflection. You might find that they provide you meditative moments as you transition into 2021.

Dear Friends,

We pray you are safe and well.

Today's Meditation comes to us from Matthew Fox who proposes Mystic Wisdom for the 12 Days of Christmas beginning with Dorothy Soelle: Be as Jesus is in the world today.

Dear Friends,

We pray you are safe and well.

Today's Meditation is "A Grateful Day" narrated by Brother David Steindl-Rast

We invite you to join us as we commit ourselves to working tirelessly to end systemic and structural racism in our society, in healthcare, in the workplace, in the Church--wherever it shows up so that everyone may come to have more abundant life.

Dear Friends,

We pray you are safe and well.

Today is the octave of Beethoven's Birthday and the Meditation offers a rousing, joyful Ode to Joy to the World by the Piano Guys with Choir and Bell-ringers. Beethoven's theme of all of humankind becoming one human family echoes throughout this piece.

Dear Friends,

We pray you are safe and well.

Today's Meditation offers a timely call to action. It is entitled "What If" by Marchae Grair.

We invite you to join us as we commit ourselves to working tirelessly to end systemic and structural racism in our society, in healthcare, in the workplace, in the Church--wherever it shows up so that everyone may come to have more abundant life. May this meditation nourish our contemplative-active hearts and sustain all of us in action.
