Dear Friends,
As we let Easter echo, We pray you are safe and well.
Today's Meditation presents "Waiting in Liminal Time--Holy Saturday" by Elaine Y. Olive adapted from Jon Humphries, Prayers that Unite. It was sent to us by Irene Desharnais.
We invite you to join us as we commit ourselves to working tirelessly to end systemic and structural racism in our society, in healthcare, in the workplace, in the Church--wherever it shows up so that everyone may come to have more abundant life. May this meditation nourish our contemplative-active hearts and sustain all of us in action.
In the spirit of our philosophy of co-creating community and our awareness that the Spirit speaks through each of us, we invite you to share your meditations with us as well. We truly believe that in God’s economy of abundance, when we share our blessings, our thoughts, our feelings, we are all made richer.
We hope and pray that you and your loved ones experience genuine peace of mind and heart, and remain in good health during this challenging time.
In this time of Easter, may you find peace, healing, hope, and the infusion of joy in your life!
With our love and care,
Ron & Jean
We pray in this liminal time,
This in in-between time,
The place of waiting,
We pray for those who are in-between. For those who have to wait,
Mourners, the grieving, Refugees,
For those who walk in the shadow of death,
For those waiting for results or treatment,
Those between employment, those between opposing powers.
For those for whom the promise of resurrection seems but a place beyond the horizon of their hope.
O Divine One,
You have walked by this way before us.
For us the Easter story moves ahead towards resolution and resurrection,
but for many the reality of the future is unclear and uncertain,
just as it was for your disciples and followers that Easter Saturday.
Be with us and all those caught in the vortex of waiting.
Carry all beyond our fear and despair to hope. O God of Easter,
God of all times,
Comfort and uphold us all.
Enfold us in your love, that we may bear the waiting. Walk with us into tomorrow.
Bring us into resurrection.
This we pray.
Amen.
