Dear Friends,

We pray you are safe and well. In the spirit of our philosophy of co-creating community and our awareness that the Spirit speaks through each of us, we invite you to share your meditations with us as well. We truly believe that in God’s economy of abundance, when we share our blessings, our thoughts, our feelings, we are all made richer.

Today’s meditation was written by a friend, The Rev. Colette Bachand.  We anticipate that these will bring you comfort and inspiration, too.

We hope and pray that you and your loved ones experience genuine peace of mind and heart, and remain in good health during this challenging time.

Loving blessings,

Jean & Ron

Meditation Fourteen: Holy, Still:

This week will be holy

Still

While there will be none of the familiar rituals

Foot washing, altar clearing, Good Friday liturgies

Egg hunts, sanctuary flowers, and fancy Easter bonnets.

This week will be holy,

Still

Because it was never the rituals

that caused us to be blessed

The rituals weren’t the point,

only pointers

that showed us the way.

The way to the cross, the way to the grave

And alas, the way to hope and new life.

This week will be holy,

Still

Because nothing can stop what has started

Nothing can hold back the love God longs to give

Nothing can hold back the Promise

Nothing can hold back Easter

And so,

This week will be holy

Still

Because I still have you

and still you have me

and we still have we,

though we are in pain.

This week will be holy,

Still

And when we have resurrected from this time

We will together weep tears of joy

That will outnumber our tears of sadness

Because this week is holy,

Still.
