Dear Spirit of Lifers,
Due to the snow, we have decided to cancel our Eucharistic Liturgy today Sunday December 1 in Weston. We want everyone to be safe and not be in danger on the roads.
However, we would like to celebrate the First Sunday of Advent with you in a Liturgy of the Word by telephone conference call! The directions for that are below—we invite you to join us if you are able at 4PM. All are welcome! (The songs are below.)
For your inspiration this week we send you the Magnificat of Mary from the Gospel of Luke set poetically to music by David Haas. Enjoy!
Beaming out our love to you and prayers for abundant blessings for you, your loved ones and your ministry of service,
Ron and Jean

Holy Is Your Name by David Haas©
My soul is filled with joy
as I sing to God my savior:
you have looked upon your servant,
you have visited your people.
Refrain
And holy is your name through all generations!
Everlasting is your mercy to the people you have chosen,
and holy is your name.
I am lowly as a child,
but I know from this day forward
that my name will be remembered,
for all will call me blessed. (to Refrain)
I proclaim the pow'r of God,
you do marvels for your servants;
though you scatter the proud hearted
and destroy the might of princes. (to Refrain)
To the hungry you give food,
send the rich away empty.
In your mercy you are mindful
of the people you have chosen. (to Refrain)
In your love you now fulfill
what you promised to your people.
I will praise you, Lord, my savior,
everlasting is your mercy. (to Refrain)
God Beyond All Names by Bernadette Farrell©
God beyond our dreams you have stirred in us a memory
You have placed your powerful spirit in the hearts of humankind.
Refrain: All around us we have known you, all creation lives to hold you
In our living and our dying we are bringing you to birth.
God beyond all names you have made us in your image
We are like you, we reflect you, we are woman, we are man. (to refrain)
God beyond all words all creation tells your story
You have shaken with our laughter, you have trembled with our tears (to refrain)
God beyond all time you are laboring within us
We are moving, we are changing, in your Spirit ever new (to refrain)
God of tender care you have created us in goodness
You have mothered us in wholeness, you have loved us into birth (to refrain)
I and the Mother are One
Lyrics to Singing for the Soul © 2008 Jan Phillips www.janphillips.com
I and the Mother are one,
Like the sky and the moon and sun
Like the ocean and stream,
Like the dreamer and dream,
I and the Mother are one.
I and the Mother Are One
Like the sky and the moon and sun
Like the blizzard and snow,
Like the river and flow
I and the Mother are one.
I and the Mother Are One
Like the sky and the moon and sun.
Like the earth and the sea,
Like the branch and the tree
I and the Mother are one.
I and the Mother are one,
Like the sky and the moon and sun,
Like the blanket and warm
Like the thunder and storm
I and the Mother are one.
I and the Mother are one,
Like the sky and the moon and sun,
Like the orchard and vine,
Like the grape and the wine,
I and the Mother are one.
I and the Mother are one,
Like the sky and the moon and sun,
Like the part and the whole
Like the body and soul,
I and the Mother are one
