Dear Friends,

Today, Rev. Maureen Andrew, a community member who was ordained a priest in Roman Catholic Women Priests on August 10, 2013 is celebrating her Mass of Thanksgiving. Maureen will be a missionary of our Spirit of Life Community

Dear Friends,

This Sunday’s Gospel portrays a dishonest steward who misuses his master’s property and then sets himself up in the favor of his master’s debtors by writing off a huge proportion of their debts.  The master praised the devious steward for being enterprising. It reminded me of a meditation by Richard Rohr

Dear Friends,

At last Sunday’s liturgy, prompted by our readings, we had an engaging dialogue homily on the subject of “humility.” It was noted that humility is truly being able to acknowledge both our gifts and our weaknesses. Basically, true humility is being able to acknowledge our human condition, and to hold our ‘place at the table.’. In the light of that I (Ron) wanted to share with you a way in which I am being invited to acknowledge my ‘gifts.’  I recently received a letter from the Boston Theological Institute Board of Trustees notifying me that I had been chosen to receive the BTI 2013 Humanitarian Award for my work in Clinical Pastoral Education, educating the next generation of spiritual care-givers.

Dear Friends,

Thanks so very much for your words of affirmation and congratulations to Ron (and some to me...Jean!!) in acknowledgment of Ron’s selection as the recipient of the Boston Theological Institute’s 2013 Humanitarian Award. Since we often co-author these letters, we realize that ‘who’s who in the writing’ can be confusing. We apologize for any confusion, but again thank you so very much for your amazing response. It has added exponentially to our joy as we experienced your presence ‘with us’ in this time of celebration.

Dear Friends,

In this week's America magazine, John Martens reflecting on this
Sunday's readings on the Trinity, writes about "God in Relationship." His
concluding paragraph states:... "there is a parallel with human relationships
