Please join us as our Lenten Book Group disusses "The Passion and the Cross" by Ronald Rolheiser.
It is our hope that Rolheiser’s book will help to inform and develop our theology of who Christ is for us today. Walter Brueggemann writes: Ron Rolheiser wades in the Friday-Sunday mystery of faith…. unflinching in his grasp of the hard, wondrous reality of God’s presence in the person of Christ. James Martin, SJ writes: “This profound and compassionate meditation will be of inestimable use to anyone who has ever suffered or struggled in life—which is to say, everyone.” Richard Rohr, OFM offers: “Here you will find years of reflection, prayer, and a life in deep union with the mystery of death, suffering, and the resurrection that comes with it.” In these days of struggle, perhaps in conversation with this book and one another, we might find Hope rise up!
The discussions will be held from 7:00 - 8:30PM by the Spirit of Life at the Congregational Church of Weston/UCC (our usual location) and will be facilitated by Rev. Sharon Dickinson, RWCP.
We'll meet on the following Tuesday's: March 7, 14, 21, 28, and April 4th.
